About this Event
Inspired by the pioneering vision of Hannah Höch – the Dadaist artist widely credited as the inventor of photomontage – participants will transform everyday materials like magazines, newspapers, books, and found imagery into extraordinary surreal artwork.
Collage is one of the most wonderfully accessible and playful art forms around. There are no rules, no "wrong" answers, and no experience needed – just scissors, glue, and a willingness to let your creativity run wild. Whether you're drawn to dreamlike landscapes, absurd juxtapositions, or bold visual storytelling, this workshop gives you the space to explore and experiment freely.
This session is a chance to slow down, get hands-on, and lose yourself in the meditative joy of making. Creative play is genuinely good for us – it reduces stress, sparks joy and connects us with others. All materials provided. All welcome.
This workshop will take place at 13 Weeks Tea, a brand-new café in Cambridge city centre (opened in Feb 2026), serving a wide range of internationally inspired teas and coffees. The creative session will be held in the café space, where you’ll be able to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere along with a drink and some light nibbles (included with ticket). Sister company, 13 Weeks Travel, is based upstairs - a community-oriented travel agency curating holidays and travel experiences to destinations around the world.
