Spend the week exploring clay through pinch pots, sculpture, slab building, glazing, and more in this playful and skill-building handbuilding camp for young artists.
Students will learn foundational ceramic techniques while creating functional pottery, imaginative sculptures, and personalized clay creations. Projects are designed to encourage creativity, confidence, and experimentation in a supportive studio environment.
Throughout the week, students will explore:
-Pinch pots and functional forms
-Coil-built vessels and sculptures
-Slab-built boxes, plaques, and structures
-Animals, creatures, and imaginative projects
-Surface decoration and glazing techniques
All artwork will be glazed and kiln-fired in a food-safe finish.
What to Bring
-Clothes that can get messy
-Water bottle
Finished work will be ready for pickup after kiln firing. Families will be notified when artwork is ready.
