Join in this unique open mic event to share your creative gifts in community and receive supportive feedback in the way you want to receive it. Do you sing?
Play an instrument?
Write poetry?
Dance?
Paint?
Make cookies?
Any creative form is welcome and invited!
Sarah Snider of Poetess & Stranger and Hilary Lake will be the hosts this month and will offer their gifts throughout the evening. Everyone is invited to come and share as well.
Registration is appreciated and drop ins are welcome!
Come as you are, all are welcome: people of all sizes, shapes, ages and abilities – no prior experience is needed.
Entrance by donation ($10-$20 is suggested and no one turned away for lack of funds)
Doors open at 6:30 for refreshments and mingling and the open mic will start at 7pm. At the end of the evening there will be facilitated small groups to support those who shared to receive feedback in the way that would feel best to them. This is an optional space to connect with those who attended.
Refreshments will be available for sale until they sell out.

Co-Hosts:
Sarah Snider (she/her) of Poetess & Stranger is the host of Petoskey’s Poetry Open Mic. She holds a BS in Studio Art, and is dedicated to lifelong learning in the fields of poetry, philosophy, spiritualism, and herbalism.
Hilary Lake (she/they) is a healing arts community minister who helps people align with their bodies and values in enlivening ways. She graduated with an MDiv in Buddhist Ministry and is a trauma informed somatic movement therapist and educator. She welcomes people into mindful embodiment practices that bring loving awareness, connection and aliveness into their lives. August Srdjak (they/he) is a committed community artist co-creating Earth centered spaces in which to heal and connect. They have many years of experience engaging in collaborative community projects with plants, food, arts activism and sustainable building practice. With a BA from University of Michigan in Personal, Social and Global Change and depth of experience with spiritual embodiment practice, they enjoy being a part of collective efforts to heal and evolve one moment at a time.
