About this Event
From design studios to digital content creators, from independent artists, to film, gaming, and performing arts across the region, the North East’s creative sector can be said to be thriving. The sector supports thousands of jobs across the wider creative economy and contributes significantly to GVA through a mix of microbusinesses, freelancers, and larger organisations.
Creativity’s value extends far beyond the arts. It plays a crucial role in driving innovation, enhancing place-making, and helping businesses across sectors connect with audiences in more meaningful ways. For manufacturers, it’s product design. For tourism, it’s branding and cultural assets. Creative thinking fuels growth and makes businesses more adaptable in a rapidly changing world.
Arts, culture, creativity aren’t separate from economic growth, they are woven deeply into it.
If you are involved in 'creative arts' (creative and performing arts, music, theatre, visual arts and design, digital technology/animation, wider creative and cultural organisations & support organisations/funding), join us for a focussed discussion with peers on how we can overcome the challenges.
We are stronger, together.
