About this Event
Our12-month wellbeing programme offers monthly creative and therapeutic workshops for women aged 18 to 49 in Pype Hayes, Birmingham. Each session blends art, movement, music, mindfulness, and therapeutic practices to create a safe and welcoming environment where women can slow down, connect, and focus on their wellbeing.
Our upcoming session will centre around festive creative activities πβ¨, offering women the chance to explore artistic expression through a gentle Christmas-themed workshop . Guided by experienced facilitators, participants will take part in calming, hands-on activities designed to support relaxation, spark creativity, and build a sense of warmth and togetherness during the winter season βοΈπ.
This is an opportunity to slow down, make something meaningful, and reconnect with yourself in a nurturing and supportive space. No previous experience is needed, and all materials are provided.
Alongside the main workshop activities, participants will have access to optional one-to-one holistic support and information on local services including housing, employment, mental health care, childcare, and community resources. Multilingual support will also be available to ensure everyone feels welcome and included.
Women who are unable to arrange childcare are welcome to bring their children along, so they can still take part in the workshop without barriers πΆπ.
Refreshments will be provided, with something special prepared each month to make the sessions feel warm and inviting.
The programme is facilitated by Monika Lenard, an experienced womenβs workshop leader with over 20 years of practice in creating safe, trauma-informed spaces for personal growth and community connection. Monikaβs approach combines circle dances, breathing techniques, traditional folk music, and creative arts, offering an inclusive and supportive experience rooted in both cultural heritage and holistic wellbeing.
Make Share Heal warmly welcomes women from Ukraine, Poland, and Central and Eastern Europe, as well as local women facing similar challenges. The project aims to support mental health, confidence, and belonging while reducing isolation through creativity and connection.
The workshop is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided.
