About the Program
The Creative Age Conference is a community-centered initiative dedicated to empowering adults 55+ to use creativity as a catalyst for health, purpose, and joyful aging.
Creativity Is More Than a Hobby — It’s a Health Strategy
Research continues to show that creative engagement stimulates brain plasticity, improves mood, reduces stress, and strengthens social bonds. Activities such as painting, singing, dancing, and storytelling are linked to:
- Improved memory and cognitive function
- Increased strength, coordination, and balance
- Reduced feelings of isolation and depression
- Greater emotional resilience
- Renewed energy and motivation
- A deeper sense of meaning and purpose
Participants will discover how creativity activates multiple areas of the brain simultaneously, encouraging neural growth and protecting against cognitive decline. Movement-based creative expression enhances balance and mobility — critical factors in preventing falls and maintaining independence.
