Creating Contact For DressageTechnically explained-contact is the connection between the horses mouth and the riders hand. Riding requires continuous communication with the horse, and for that to occur we have to find the common language. Contact is an essential piece of this language.
The road to contact is not linear and often may take several different versions of tools to aid in its consistency.
In this 1-day in depth clinic we are going to dive into the meat and potatoes of contact with opening lectures, unmounted participation and ridden individual sessions.
Not only will keeping and maintaining contact be covered but we will cover "contact issues" as well. Why they happen, how can we help with coping skills.
🌟 Understand why and how contact happens
🌟 Covering common contact symptoms( head up, head down, tongue out, behind vertical, resistance, evasion, bolting, rearing)
🌟 How different horses react to contact and why?
🌟 Why riders mechanics can greatly affect consistent contact.
🌟 Why contact also can influence horses with bolting and rearing problems
🌟 Aids to help at home - PT bands, equicube and wrist bands etc.
Are you ready? Lets create some contact and keep it consistent!
