A fun, interactive session to help you write and illustrate your own comics.
About this Event

Award-winning comic creators Metaphrog – John Chalmers and Sandra Marrs – share their tips and secrets for character design and storytelling.

John and Sandra will talk you through their own process, showing how images and words come together to make a successful comic book. They will give examples of how they work using mini videos and illustrations. You will also be able to start designing and drawing your own character. At the end of the morning there will be a chance to ask questions.

The session is designed for families with children aged 7 to 12 years, but younger and older siblings are welcome.

All materials will be provided.

After the session, you can visit our Treasures exhibition to see some examples of comic books from the Library’s collection.
