Creating Colourful Silk Scarves with Foliage and Natural Dyes
In this workshop Pam will guide you through a botanical printing (ecoprinting) technique to create a beautiful silk scarf. You will be shown how to use natural dyes, how to select and arrange leaves and flowers that give colour, from locally grown trees, shrubs and perennial plants. The natural dyes and leaves work together to create stunning images. If you think that fish kettles are for cooking fish, think again!
Participants will take away a beautiful silk scarf they have created using leaves and flowers they could grow in their own garden, enhanced by natural dyes.
Pam Tresise is a weaver, spins her own yarns and dyes natural fibres using botanical dyes. She has a garden studio which looks out onto a garden full of plants often selected for their use in ecoprinting and which inspire her work. Meet at 10.15am for complimentary coffee and cake. The workshop commences at 10.30am with a lunch break at 1.00pm, before recommencing for the final session at 1.45pm to 3.00pm.

Refund policy: Refunds up to 30 days before event (all refunds are subject to a £10.00 pp administration fee).
