Join this workshop to learn how to build & maintain your own closed terrarium! Class cost covers all necessary supplies.
Terrariums are micro gardening environments that allow you to view nature up close and display it as a work of art. Closed terrariums require less watering than traditional terrariums. During the day, condensation will form on the glass, then in the evening as the glass cools, the moisture returns to the soil. Instructor Tassy de Give, author of Rooted in Design, will guide you on building a closed terrarium and how to maintain it. The history of terrarium creation, planting techniques, and care tips will be discussed.
Class fee includes the following materials:
- Glass Terrarium Vessel
- Activated Charcoal
- Potting Soil
- Miniature Plants
Taught by Tassy de Give, a plant enthusiast and instructor who has worked in the horticulture field for the past 20 years. Tassy is a co-founder of Sprout Home and Geometry Gardens in Brooklyn, NY.
