Workshop Overview:
Join us for a fun and engaging workshop where you will learn to create your very own summer t-shirt using the Oystermouth top pattern from The Swansea Pattern Company. This easy, relaxed fit top is perfect for beginners and a fantastic way to enhance your sewing skills just in time for summer!
What You Will Learn:
- Measure & Cut: Master how to take your measurements accurately and cut out the patterns effectively.
- Fabric Handling: Learn about fabric grain alignment and how to cut out your garment using the fold pattern.
- Sewing Techniques: Develop your sewing skills with guidance on garment construction and ensure a perfect fit tailored to your body.
- Finishing Touches: Discover essential techniques for finishing seams, hemming, and adding personal flair to your garment.
Included in the Workshop:
- All necessary sewing machines and equipment will be provided, including scissors, pins, bobbins, and threads.
- Please bring at least 2 meters of your own fabric! We recommend lightweight materials such as cotton poplin, linen, viscose, or rayon. You can also upcycle by using old bedding for a creative twist.
- A limited selection of fabric will be available for those who need it.
- You’ll leave with your own completed Oystermouth top and the pattern to create more at home!
