A Beachside Pottery Workshop On Lake Superior
Spend an evening on the sandy shore of Lake Superior creating your own handmade ceramic mugs in a relaxed outdoor pottery class. We’ll gather on the beach to shape clay by hand, take inspiration from the landscape around us, and slow down for a few hours beside the water. Tiny spinning planet, giant lake, clay.
This class is beginner-friendly and designed to be approachable, calming, and creative. You do not need prior clay experience.

During The Workshop
You’ll learn foundational hand building techniques to create functional ceramic mugs while enjoying the outdoors and the atmosphere of the lake. The class will include demonstrations, guidance throughout the process, and time to experiment with texture and form in your own style.
After the event, mugs will be fired and glazed by the instructor and available for pickup at a later date.

A sturdy cardboard box to carry your mugs back to the car area after class.

Please note that the class takes place directly on the beach and requires walking on uneven natural terrain.
Weather Backup Plan
A backup weather date has been reserved for Saturday, June 6th, 2026.
If weather conditions are poor or unsafe on June 5th, the class will automatically move to the backup date. If weather prevents the workshop from happening on both dates, participants will receive a full refund.
Small Group Experience
Class size is intentionally limited to create a comfortable and personal experience with plenty of individual guidance and space to enjoy the setting.
