As part of the Tamborine Mountain Arts Trail 2026, on the Labour Day long weekend, enjoy an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with nature in a meditative, mixed media art workshop with local artist and art teacher, Jane McGeough. Explore brush making, mark making and sensory responses inspired by the Tamborine Mountain rainforest.Beginning with a meditative walk through the beautiful rainforest of Tamborine Mountain, you will learn about the local environment, collect materials from the forest to make your own brushes and explore mark making and sensory responses with ink, watercolour and other media. Explore new ways to express yourself, loosen up and create in a relaxed, fun, collaborative space on Jane’s rainforest deck to inspire and develop your work.
Suitable for anyone who wants to engage their creativity and artists of any level. Great for senior high school art students too!
Materials: Paper, ink and watercolour materials are provided.
Please bring: an apron, your favourite watercolour brushes, watercolours, sketching pencil and a camera/phone; as well as a waterbottle, hat, sunscreen & mozzie spray.
Home cooked lunch, cake & drinks will be provided.
