Emrys has been involved in the local medieval group for 10 years, with and one of his many interests being leather crafting. It all started at a basic workshop and his passion grew from there. Emrys has crafted pouches, gauntlets, quivers, sheathes, dice trays and more. He also aspires to making a suit of leather armour.
Emrys is passionate about making medieval and fantasy items and would like to inspire others to do the same.
He loves the natural world and has strong interests in plants and their uses, local wildlife, fantastic fungi and also fossils and minerals. His work in the conservation field has taken him to many unique environments where he has explored these interests.
At times Emrys finds inspiration for his crafts in the natural world, from a tree etched into a wooden chest, a pendant in the shape of a leaf or a Celtic knot carved into a leather book cover.
