Terry 'Record Corner' Davis
In 1972, Terry was resident DJ at the Wheatsheaf on the Kings Road two nights a week - mixing the new soul releases of the day with funk, deep soul, Motown & northern soul.
While at the Wheatsheaf, he would also DJ at the 100 Club, supporting soul acts such as Jackie Wilson, Betty Wright, Major Lance and JJ Barnes.
Among other things on his glittering CV, Terry started a 60s soul revival night at the Prince of Wales Hammersmith in 1978 and, during the 80s, he co-promoted & DJed monthly sixties/northern nights in Clapham Junction with Ian Clark (Function At The Junction).
And if that wasn't enough for you, Terry has been a writer for Black Echoes magazine, a DJ and broadcaster on such stations as JFM & Solar Radio, and for over 30 years he worked at South London's mighty Record Corner shop.
