The talk explains the key events and ideas that shaped Ireland, helping visitors understand the country beyond the guidebooks.
You’ll learn about Ireland’s early history and Viking Dublin, the Norman invasion and centuries of conflict, rebellion and independence, Irish culture and traditions, and modern Ireland — from emigration to the Celtic Tiger and today’s global tech hub.
The event takes place in Meagher’s Pub on Eden Quay, overlooking the River Liffey in the heart of Dublin.
Visitors arriving from 6:00 pm will have the opportunity to learn how to pull their own pint of Guinness — a classic Irish pub experience.
The talk begins at 6:30 pm and the event finishes at approximately 8:00 pm.
