Building upon ALICE and similar trainings, Trooper Karey Yaneff and members of the Iowa State Patrol will provide practical strategies to protect you and others in the case of an active shooter. Afterwards, members of the Woodbury County Sheriff's Office will provide you hands-on training to "stop the bleed" that you can apply to your daily life and other situations you may encounter.
The March 25 training is mandatory for all Walk About & Overlook volunteers who missed December's training.
Ushers, who missed December's training, are highly recommended to attend.
Knights of the Altar Coaches, Sacristans, and teachers who also missed December's training are strongly encouraged to attend.
All are welcome, regardless!
