This year our ribbon-weaving workshops, launched in 2024, expand to include bead weaving, bringing together different generations around traditional crafts. From card weaving belts and straps to beaded bracelets and jewellery, participants explore techniques in a warm setting that encourages curiosity, creativity, and shared learning. Open to beginners and experienced makers aged 12+, these friendly workshops offer a relaxed space to slow down, make by hand, and connect through craft.
🎴 Card Weaving
Card weaving is like a favorite book: no matter how many times you open it, it always reveals something new. This several-thousand-year-old technique was essential to the nomadic lifestyle: bands woven with it were used to fasten tents or make halters. Today, it lends itself to belts, guitar straps, bag handles, garment decorations, and even jewelry.
👉 Perfect for both beginners and advanced weavers. There is always a new trick to learn!
💎 Bead Weaving
Bead weaving is a delicate and intricate craft that allows you to create bracelets, necklaces, pendants, and earrings. Beyond the basics, we’ll also introduce the peyote technique for those who are interested!
👨‍👩‍👧 A Parent–Child Experience
Both workshops make for a wonderful family activity, though we recommend them from age 12 upwards, as both techniques require patience and concentration
What do we offer?
👉 a cheerful, creative atmosphere
