Welcome to monthly craft nights for queer women, non-binary and trans people. Each month we will have one or more workshops, but you can also bring your own project or start a new one depending on the available materials.
In September we are having a basic weaving workshop, where you can learn how to weave different patterns!
The workshop begins with being shown how to make simple homemade looms from cardboard for small projects but if one has their own table or backstrap loom, feel free to bring it!
Reccomended tools to bring:
Scissors,
A wide tooth comb,
Yarn,
Darning needle (thick needle with a non-pointy end)
Cardboard (as stiff and thick as possible. Preferably not folded. The bigger the piece, the bigger the loom)
There will be tools and yarn available but in limited quantity.
There'll be an opportunity to look at a backstrap loom and its accessories if anyone is curious about weaving bigger projects such as scarves or bags.
Complete beginners are welcome!
We will be serving tea and maybe some snacks, but feel free to bring anything (vegan) to share!
The venue is wheelchair accessible.
