About this Event
Craft From Kyoto | Furoshiki Tie-Dyeing Workshop
We welcome expert Yukimasa Otsuki (Master of Traditional Crafts) of ANDO Co.
Shibori tie-dye (indigo) has been used in Japan for over 600 years. Shibori involves binding, stitching, folding, twisting, or compressing cloth to create patterns and one-of-a-kind works of art.
Come learn and have fun. Choose from creating a furoshiki (traditional cotton wrapping cloth) or silk stole.
Choose your own colors and use the ancient shibori tie-dyeing technique.
