About this Event
Craft n Comedy is back for a spooky night of laughter and art!
This time, we'll be at CreateATL where we will make cardboard gingerbread houses from upcycled materials! Ugly Christmas Sweaters and Santa hats are encouraged, but not required! We'll have light refreshments and DJ Fred Litt with music to keep you entertained all night!
The Craft
For this Craft n Comedy, we will have two different activities. We will have ceramic houses for you to paint and add to your own holiday village. We'll also have cardboard templates for you to create Gingerbread houses. We'll be working with glue and paint, so it might get a little messy. All materials are pre-loved craft supplies and sourced from Scraplanta and other local thrift stores.
The Comedy
This is a comedy open mic that's open to any and everybody, HOWEVER Craft n Comedy will always be a safe space for Black Women and Black Queer Femmes. We will not tolerate any content that uses any form of homophobia, misogynoir, xenophobia, fatphobia, or any other form of bigotry that contributes to the oppression of marginalized groups. Although this open mic is comedy focused, if you have a poem, soliloquy, or dance that you want to share, the mic is open to you, too!
