About this Event
This is not a showcase. It is a laboratory.
A space for unfinished songs, strange ideas, first drafts, and emotional risks. Bring the version of yourself that is still becoming. Try the new sound. Sing the lyric you are not sure you are allowed to sing. Play the chord progression that might fall apart. Let it.
This open mic is built for process over polish. The room is listening for honesty, not perfection. Silence, vulnerability, and rough edges are part of the music here.
All genres, all levels, all identities welcome. You can perform, or just witness. The only expectation is respect for the courage it takes to show up in motion.
If you have been waiting until something feels “ready,” this is your invitation to come earlier. To be seen mid-creation. To hear yourself in a room that holds it gently.
Come experiment. Come feel. Come as you are, and as you are not yet.
Each open mic event will begin with group warm-up and connection exercises. Each two-song set will be followed by supportive feedback. Each evening will end in reflection.
There will be a simple PA with microphone and inputs for your guitar, but this is a small, very resonant space and you can be heard clearly and powerfully without any gear.
This event will be monthly through the summer and bi-weekly beginning after Labor Day.
