Steve Heels has organised a series of free 60-minute CPR training session in partnership with Dee Jackson, a certified First Aid Trainer.These sessions are open to all our dancers and their non dancing partners/husbands interested in learning or refreshing their CPR skills.
Steve, having personally experienced the life-saving impact of CPR and a defibrillator in late 2023 understands first hand the importance of receiving immediate and effective CPR prior to the use of the defibrillator. In response he has arranged and fully funded this free CPR training day.
Training session will begin at 10am and run for approximately 60 minutes with groups of up to 12 participants. The goal is for attendees to leave with the confidence and ability to perform this critical life-saving skill. Steve aims to offer up to 6 sessions traiing up to 72 people throughout the day.

Why is this important? Over 90% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest victims do not survive, and more than 70% of these incidents occur at home. For each minute without CPR, a person's chance of survival decreases by 10%. The skills learned in these sessions could help save the life of someone you love.
