For those in need of CPR certification or re-certification, Safety-Educators is offering a renewal/initial provider session at the Scotland Community Center.Wednesday, April 22nd, 5pm-9pm
Cost: $135 per student; includes student manual
Card/credential is issued immediately upon successful completion of your class.
Please msg ahead to verify the specific class type that you need. Listings on the AHA site are for information only; no pre-pay is needed, no pre-work is needed; just arrive at 5pm and have a great class to boost/re-boost your skills.
Helpful bits to know:
BLS for Healthcare Provider is primarily a class designed for those that are patient-facing, which often includes hospital, clinical, EMS, and other positions that work with patients on a daily basis. Heartsaver CPR AED is for non-medical workers, or those that do not directly with patients on a daily basis. First Aid is a class that covers a variety of essential topics for those helping with emergency aid.
Credentialing will be through the American Heart Association, which offers a 2yr credential. Successful students will receive their card at the end of class. All students will receive a student manual. This class will be scaled to accommodate either BLS Initial Provider, BLS Renewal courses, or Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED (TBD).
For those that need to renew, please know that the AHA will not renew a non-AHA credential. If you hold a certification from any other brand, in order to have an AHA credential you would need to take the full Initial Provider class.
Those with a current AHA BLS card can renew their BLS card in 2.5hrs if they have a valid AHA BLS Provider card.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is an approximately 4hr class, suited to the needs of the student.
Safety-Educators also offers other American Heart Association classes, as well as classes through the American Red Cross, the American College of Surgeons, the National Rifle Association, the USCCA, and EMS Continuing Education credit options.
