amongst a community of like minded educators.
About this Event
Center for Powerful Public Schools is proud to present our Culturally Responsive Eductors Institute July 23rd - July 24th, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm. This two-day, in-person and third day virtual workshop series, is grounded in the work of key educators and theorist such as Geneva Gay (2000) who states that “since how one thinks, writes, and speaks reflect culture and affects performance, aligning instruction to the cultural schemas of our students can improve school achievement.”
Honoring the work of Gay, Hammond, Gloria Ladson Billings and countless others, this workshop is for educators interested in shifting practices within their classroom and the larger school community in culturally responsive ways to improve student outcomes. By attending this workshop, we hope you walk away feeling more efficacious, inspired, and empowered.
Don’t miss this opportunity to embark on a journey towards becoming a more culturally responsive educator. Secure your spot now and be part of a community committed to shaping a brighter more inclusive future for education!
