Grief Intensive Training, July 2024

Attendees must participate in all three days of training from 9am-5pm, July 24-26. This training will be in person at Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Encino, CA. You will need to sign in & out each day to obtain continuing education units (CAMFT/Board of Nursing), as well as take the pre & post test which will be emailed.

There will be several scheduled breaks throughout each day, including a 1 hour lunch which can be obtained on campus for $20 or from one of the many restaurants around the area. There is also space to refrigerate lunches & snacks if you prefer to bring them.

Training Objectives: Our grief workshop and intensive training course provides a theoretical and practical approach to grief support to implement in work with grieving children, adolescents, and adults. Those who complete this training will have the opportunity to enhance and practice intervention skills and to reflect upon their own comfort with and understanding of death and bereavement. The thorough review of grief theories, relevant case examples, practical knowledge of interventions with both individuals and groups, and different views of the healing and meaning-making process, allow participants to take a multi-dimensional approach to learning how to be a competent and effective practitioner in grief care.
