“Coercive Control – 1 Year On” presented by His Honour Judge McCarthy KC and Ms Laura Reece KC. His Honour and Ms Reece were members of the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce which recommended the introduction of the offence of “coercive control”.
This session will provide practical insight for solicitors navigating matters involving patterns of coercive and controlling behaviour. An essential CPD event for family, criminal and domestic violence practitioners seeking to understand how the reforms are shaping the legal landscape, one year on.
This CPD will consider the background of the introduction of the offence and what has occurred since its introduction one year ago.
