The CP Holiday Train is happy to be back for its 26th year supporting food banks and food shelves across our network by raising money, food and awareness for food insecurity issues. Volunteers with The Table Community Food Centre will be present to collect your monetary donations (as well as non-perishable food items). Beginning at 7 p.m. at the Wilson Street Railway Crossing on Thursday, November 28, the Holiday Train will be arriving at 7:40 p.m. Tyler Shaw and Shawnee Kish will be performing from 8-8:30 p.m.
Several things to note before you arrive:
- the show can be seen from BOTH SIDES of the tracks
- Wilson Street will be closed between Sunset Blvd. and Highway 7 at 7 p.m. SHARP. Once road is closed, pedestrians WILL NOT be permitted to cross the tracks.
- Please park at Perth Mews, side streets (where permitted), municipal lots, or walk to the location.
- LIMITED accessible parking available in both Foodsmiths lot and Beer Store lot (only accessible from Sunset Blvd).First-come first-served basis, MUST have a valid accessible parking permit to park.
- there are NO WASHROOMS on site.
- the train can NOT be seen from any other crossing in Town; the train will return to Smiths Falls at the end of the show. It may be possible to see the train from Highway #43 as it arrives in Town.
- this event is completely outside and requires walking in to the site. Please come dressed for the weather. The timings provided are estimates only from CPKC Rail.
