Join us for Cozy Creations: A Winter STEM Retreat, where creativity meets hands-on fun! Dive into winter-inspired projects that blend design, science, and innovation. From crafting personal wellness items to creating unique wearable art and puzzles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. This two-day camp is all about sparking inspiration, celebrating the season, and setting goals for a bright year ahead. Date and Time:
- Monday, January 27, and Tuesday, January 28, 2025
- 2 Days, 2 Sessions, Not an overnight
- Drop-Off: 10:00 AM | Pick-Up: 2:00 PM
- Programming: 10:15 AM - 1:45 PM
Location:
3935 N Lombard St. (Parking lot in the back)
- Look for the building with white buses parked outside.
- Doors will open at 10:00 AM for drop-off and at 1:45 PM for pick-up. Doors will remain locked outside these times.
- If arriving late, use the doorbell. We have our own for this camp.
- Caregivers are required to come inside for both drop-off and pick-up.
Who’s Invited:
This event is open to youth ages 8 to 18, with programming best suited for 4th through 8th graders. Everyone is welcome to participate in this inclusive and engaging experience.
What You’ll Do:
Explore a variety of creative and hands-on STEAM activities:
- Make sugar scrubs, salt scrubs, and lip balm.
- Design t-shirts and laser-cut puzzles.
- Experiment with a 2D cutter, laser cutter, and heat press.
What to Bring:
- A water bottle.
- Feel free to bring your own shirts to customize!
- Lunch will be provided.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Details:
- Caregivers must accompany youth for both drop-off and pick-up.
- On Day 1, a makerspace waiver will need to be signed during drop-off.
Safety Guidelines:
- To ensure the safety of all participants, we ask that youth with respiratory symptoms stay home.
- Masks are available upon request but are not required.
