Lancaster County's only Highland games!The Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Foundation invites you to the 2025 Covenanter Scottish Festival, to be held on the grounds of the Octorara Covenanter and Middle Octorara Presbyterian Churches. The location is near Quarryville in Lancaster County PA.
Events: Competition will consist of nine events: Open & Braemar Stone, Heavy & Light Hammers, Heavy & Light Weight for Distance, Caber, Sheaf, and Weight for Height. Athletes must participate in all events to qualify for the overall awards. Aggregate ties will be broken with the Heavy Weight for Distance scores.
Awards: Due to price of awards, class awards will be given out based on classes having a minimum of 5 athletes per sub category (Open, Master's (Separate age groupings), Lightweights). For example, if 3 Men's A Class athletes sign up and 3 Men's B Class athletes sign up, they will compete for awards as Men's Open Class, with 6 athletes, but will retain their scores as their respective class.
Athlete Classes: Athlete scores will be entered into Heavy Athletics per their registered class.
All Men's Classes (A, B, C, Lightweight, Masters, etc.)
All Women's Classes (A, B, C, Lightweight, Masters, etc.)
Rules:
Competition will be conducted in accordance to IHGF rules.
All athletes must wear a kilt and Hose during competition.
Check-in time for all athletes begins at 7:30am at the athletics' tent.
