Courage Crew Chicago

This fun and interactive workshop is designed for kids ages 8–11 to explore their feelings, build resilience, and learn healthy ways to cope with challenges. Through games, art, storytelling, and group activities, participants will:

· Learn to identify and express emotions in safe ways

· Practice calming and coping skills to handle stress

· Build self-confidence and positive self-talk

· Connect with peers in a supportive, welcoming environment

The workshop is trauma-informed, meaning it is sensitive to kids’ experiences and designed to help them feel safe, supported, and empowered. Activities are interactive, creative, and culturally relevant, celebrating African American heritage and the strengths of young Chicagoans.

Goal: To help children grow emotionally, feel resilient, and develop skills to navigate life’s challenges while having fun and building friendships.
