Join other volunteers for 1, 2 or 3 hours of removing trash at County Grounds Park. Enjoy a beautiful walk with a trash bag to help remove the spring trash and debris build up. Together we can beautify the park by removing winter trash accumulation and prepare for all our spring visitors - people and animals!
This is an easy activity for all ages and ideal for families with small children! No experience is needed, trash bags, training, and location coordination will be provided. Bring your favorite gloves (or we have some to loan) and footwear appropriate for muddy spring conditions.
Registration is requested for coordination purposes. Consider bringing your own water container, we will have additional water onsite.

County Grounds Park has no formal address, but can be found and navigated to via Apple/Google/Waze Maps searching “Sanctuary Woods Parking”. The square gravel parking lot is 0.5 mile north and west of 87th & Watertown Plank Road (just beyond a paved parking circle). Eventbrite requires an address, but this address only gets you close. The coordination point is at the parking lot in the center of the park, see park map at:
Dress for the weather, we will hold the event unless there is lightning. There are no onsite restrooms. Friendly pets on leash are welcome.
County Grounds Park has two trash pickup events in Spring 2026:
Saturday April 11, 9-12: TrashOut - General trash pickup on the grounds (this event)
Saturday April 25, 9-12: MIlwaukee Riverkeeper - Waterway Trash Pickup
