Next Country Social at GOLDCOAST BALLROOM is:Friday, Nov 8th:
7:30pm to 8:30pm - Country 2-step Class with John.
8:30pm to 11pm - Wonderful night of Country dancing
with a mix of other popular dances.
* About 75% of the music is Country.
* Multiple sets of dance mixers.
Cover Charge for whole night is $20.
Sultry Swing has been throwing amazing Country Dance Socials for years and we are so thankful to be able to continue doing so at the Goldcoast Ballroom!!! Our parties are the most fun for you when they are filled with all of your dance friends and favorite dance partners so please take the time to make sure all yours are coming.
Our socials are definitely Country inspired, with 75% of the music being country, but we also have plenty of dancing for those coming from the Ballroom and/or WCS worlds that want to join us. We play 50 songs in an evening with 15 being Country 2-step, 10 being West Coast Swing, 5 Waltz, 4 Cha Cha, 3 Nightclub 2-step, 2 East Coast Swing, 2 Salsa, 2 Hustle, 2 Rumba, and 3 Novelty Dances.
Our socials are also amazing in that you don't need a partner to come and have a great time! Between the 7 songs being a part of mixers and the 3 novelty dances, you will have the chance to be dancing 10 songs during the night without even being asked to dance and with most of the dancers in attendance dancing around, there is a great chance that you will be up and dancing a lot more than that!
Our socials also have a great Country 2-step group class beforehand to pick up a new move or two to add to your repertoire. If you are new to Country 2-step, no worries, the first 15 minutes each night is focused on the basic 4 moves you need to know to dance Country 2-step all night long. The remaining 45 minutes of the class is a beyond beginner level routine perfect for use on the social dance floor.
