Inspired by his older brother who took up the guitar during the lockdown, Evan quickly found his own passion for music. He began by immersing himself in the soulful storytelling of Chris Stapleton and the raw energy of 90’s rock icons such as Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains.
Evan's talent quickly garnered attention, catching the eye of the Swift Current music scene. His debut single, “The Show,” received widespread acclaim and his songwriting style was praised as “resonating with both modern country influences and '90s rock music.” (Swift Current Online). Influenced by his upbringing in a small rural community and a desire to explore the world beyond, "The Show" serves as a testament to Evan's journey. The lyrics resonate with authenticity and the melody lingers in your head long after the song is done.
Since his initial success with “The Show,” Evan has embraced the opportunity to take his music to bigger city stages at renowned venues such as The Capitol Music Club and the Black Rose Whiskey Club in Saskatoon. He has also been featured on the Sask One Mic YouTube show performing a new track, “Lie to Me.”
