About this Event
From September 21-22, Saskatchewan Youth Parliament (SYP) will be holding a two day forum to bring youth together from across Saskatchewan and help inspire them to be active this election. Be it voting if eligible, voicing their views, and learning what it takes to run in an election someday.
With both provincial and municipal elections scheduled to take place this fall, SYP wants to help make sure youth have their voice heard in the upcoming elections. But further, that the foundation is laid for young leaders in our province to take this time to learn more about what it takes to run for political office.
Events will include a discussion to learn more about what it takes to run an election and govern with elected MLA’s Bronwyn Eyre, Erika Ritchie, and former SYP member Ken Cheveldayoff. As well, Saskatoon mayor Charlie Clark is currently scheduled to be in attendance.
Those in attendance will also get to work on their public speaking skills, learn more about leading a team, and discuss issues that face our province that are important to youth.
