This workshop will be a hybrid event with both in person attedance and zoom attedance available. Doors will open at 4:45 pm and light refreshments will provideed!

About the Presenter
Dayna Popkey is the Program Director at Growing Hope and a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Since Michigan’s Cottage Food Law was first enacted in 2010, Dayna has closely followed its development and supported entrepreneurs navigating the cottage food landscape. Through her work with the Ypsilanti Farmers Markets, she has spent years working directly with cottage food vendors and collaborating with the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development during vendor inspections. Dayna brings both regulatory insight and practical, on-the-ground experience to help aspiring food entrepreneurs understand the opportunities and responsibilities of cottage food businesses.
