About this Event

Join Us for an Unforgettable Evening of Irish Whiskey!

Costigan's Pub invites you to a special whiskey tasting event where you can explore the rich flavors and unique stories behind three exceptional Irish whiskeys.

For just €15, you will have the opportunity to taste and learn about three fantastic whiskeys: Bushmills Black Bush, Egan's Fortitude, and Knappogue Castle 14 Year Old.

Whiskeys to be Tasted:

1. Bushmills Black Bush
A bold and rich whiskey with a high proportion of malt whiskey matured in former Oloroso sherry casks, Black Bush offers deep, complex flavors. Expect notes of dried fruits, nuts, and a hint of spice, rounded off with a smooth, lingering finish. A true testament to the craftsmanship of the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery.

2. Egan's Fortitude
This single malt Irish whiskey is matured exclusively in Pedro Ximénez casks, imparting a distinctive sherry character. Egan's Fortitude delivers a palate of ripe fruits, honeyed sweetness, and a touch of oak spice. It's a bold and lively whiskey that reflects the Egan family's centuries-old dedication to quality.

3. Knappogue Castle 14 Year Old
An exceptional single malt aged for 14 years in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, Knappogue Castle 14 Year Old is celebrated for its balance and complexity. With notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and dried fruit, this whiskey offers a creamy mouthfeel and a long, satisfying finish, making it a perfect choice for both new and seasoned whiskey enthusiasts.

What to Expect:
  • Guided tasting led by our very own whiskey connoisseur, Colm O'Connor
  • Insightful stories and history behind each whiskey
