Want to feel more confident in your drawing skills? Join us for a live cosplay figure drawing class at Dark Tower Comics Logan Square! The session is $20, payable at the door. Bring whatever drawing tools you're most comfortable with: sketchbook, ipad, etc. If you need to borrow some drawing supplies, we'll have a few available upon request.This class includes 1 hour of drawing instruction + Q&A, followed by 1 hour of gesture and figure drawing exercises featuring local cosplayer Agi, aka @yuomii_Each month will feature a new live character to sketch; this month's theme is DELICIOUS IN DUNGEON.
Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to check in. Open spots will be filled from the waitlist for those at the store at 5PM. If you're going to be late or need to drop, please give us a shout!

About the instructor:Eli Estrella Pérez is a Cuban-American illustrator and comic artist. She received the 2024 Cupcake Award for her self-published roller derby memoir, Go Chica Go. They also placed first at the Kids Comics Unite 2023 Pitchfest. Eli is a 2025 Comics Advocacy Group Grant Awardee, and is currently working on a grant comic project with the Newberry Library that is set to release May 2026.
