Mount Calvary will celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi on June 7 with a Choral Mass at 9 AM followed by a Eucharistic Procession to the nearby, original site of St. Mary’s Seminary Paca Street, founded in 1791. The procession will culminate with Benediction in the historic and beautiful Chapel of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin—the original seminary chapel and the first neo-Gothic church building in the United States. Our observance of Pentecost will continue with the annual parish picnic in the surrounding gardens. Barbecue and beverages will be provided; parishioners and visitors are encouraged to bring sides and desserts to share. Those wishing to do so, may bring picnic blankets, folding chairs and yard games to St. Mary'sbefore the 9 AM Mass.
Please note that Corpus Christi also marks the beginning of the summer Sunday Mass schedule, with a single Mass celebrated at 9 AM.
