The first Thursday after Trinity Sunday is traditionally observed as the feast of Corpus Christi. At SJE, we observe this tradition on Thursday, June 4, with a service of Solemn Evensong and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. A small schola sings the Evensong settings and then, after Evensong, in the devotion of Benediction we receive Christ's blessing in the blessed sacrament. Complete with incense, music, and ancient ritual, this moving and yet small and intimate service is a profound experience of grace.
