Meet in the fair car park Helston opposite the boating lake (beside Flora Motors Ford Garage TR13 0RA). There is lots of parking and it’s free (at the time of writing). Any problems please call Tracy on 07870 217264.
When you arrive I will be collecting donations for our chosen charity, please bring along a few pennies 😁 You’ll recognise me as I’ll be the one with the Spotty dog 🤣
There will then be a photo opportunity 📷 before proceeding onto the walk.
We will firstly walk to the Stables Cafe where we will stop, hoping it’s open (it has been every year so far)! The walk to the cafe is 1.7 miles and suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs etc. Please try and keep together and stop and wait for those walking a little slower 😉
After stopping at the cafe, you have the option of proceeding around the entire lake which is approximately 7 miles, or going back the way we came. Please note that the paths on the seven mile walk are not pushchair/wheelchair friendly and can be very wet. Waterproof walking shoes / boots is recommended.
These walks are really good fun and it’s a pleasure to see all of the dogs playing. But please can I remind you that Cornwall and Devon Dally Rally (including the admins of the group) exists as a community communication tool to help arrange local meetings of likeminded people and their dogs. While we facilitate to arrange dates, times and places of these meetings we cannot and will not be held responsible for yourself, your dog or anybody else in attendance and this extends to the general public also.
Please be aware of the location of your dog at all times and provide for them everything that they will need for the duration of the walk. It is recommended that you make sure you have adequate insurance for any dogs you are responsible for including 3rd party public insurance.
