About this Event
Celebrate International Women’s Day with a hands-on cornrows workshop that centres skill, self-care, and cultural knowledge.
This session is designed for women who want to learn cornrows properly, while understanding how to care for afro-textured hair in a way that supports scalp health, hair growth, and hairline protection. The focus is on gel-free, tension-aware techniques that respect the hair and the person wearing it.
During the workshop, we explore cornrows not only as a hairstyle, but as a practice rooted in care, science, and history. You’ll gain practical braiding skills alongside a clear understanding of afro hair science, helping you make healthier choices for yourself or others.
This is a supportive, social learning space, perfect for beginners, creatives, and anyone curious about braiding and afro hair care.
What you’ll experience:
- Cornrows foundations and clean parting techniques
- Scalp health, hairline care, and growth-friendly practices
- Afro hair science explained in an easy, practical way
- A relaxed, empowering environment to learn and connect
