We are excited to be volunteering at Share Our Spare again as part of our Cornell Cares events across Chicagoland. We are going to be sorting essentials and packing diaper orders for children in need around the Chicagoland area. Share Our Spare distributes 150K diapers per month to 80 of their nonprofit agency partners who serve families with children 0-5 years of age.
We ask all volunteers to consider bringing a gently used donation of clothing, books, or small gear items (bassinet, pack n play, or stroller) or a brand new donation of bottles, diapers, wipes, or baby hygiene items (diaper rash creams, soaps, and lotions). Alternatively, volunteers can purchase items from our Amazon Registry and the items will come directly to them. Here is the link to our Amazon Registry: https://www.amazon.com/baby-reg/FUOQXNO0KM3W. This is not a requirement to volunteer.
All volunteers MUST pre-register for the session with Share Our Spare with the link below, in addition to registering with the Cornell Club of Chicago. The registration link contains our liability waiver that we must have on file for every volunteer. The registration link also includes post registration information with all the information about parking, recommended attire, and access to our space.
