About this Event

Cork & Knife Culinary Camp

Ages 9–13 | 5-Day Hands-On Cooking Experience

Cork & Knife’s Culinary Camp is a hands-on, high-energy week designed to help young chefs build real kitchen skills — and have a whole lot of fun doing it. This isn’t just about following recipes. It’s about learning how food works, growing confidence in the kitchen, and discovering the joy of cooking alongside new friends.

Our professional chef instructors guide campers through cooking techniques, teamwork, and creative problem-solving — all in a supportive, playful environment where curiosity is encouraged and messes are part of the process.

Save $75 when you purchase 2 tickets (select “2 Campers” ticket)!

Who This Camp Is For
  • Ages 9–13 only
  • Campers must be at least 9 years old and no older than 13 years old at the time of camp.
  • This camp is designed for kids ready to actively cook, stand for extended periods, and work independently in small teams.

⚠️ Important: Due to safety, curriculum level, and group dynamics, no exceptions can be made to the age requirement. No refunds will be issued for campers who are under or over the age range and unable to participate.

Registration Acknowledgement

To ensure a great experience for everyone, we require families to acknowledge the age requirement during registration.

What Campers Will Learn

Throughout the week, campers will:

  • Learn essential cooking techniques and kitchen fundamentals
  • Practice knife skills, food prep, and kitchen safety
  • Explore baking, sautéing, seasoning, and tasting
  • Work collaboratively in chef-led groups of 3–4
  • Build confidence by applying techniques across multiple recipes

We focus on skills and concepts first, then bring them to life through the recipes of the day.

What We’ll Be Cooking

Each day blends cooking, baking, and food-related creative activities — with an emphasis on foods kids actually want to make (and eat!) at home.

Think:

  • Homemade granola with fresh yogurt
  • Muffins and baked treats
  • Hummus, dips, and spreads
  • Seasonal snacks and simple, satisfying dishes

Campers will taste and sample throughout the day, and some creations may even head home to share with family.

What’s Included
  • All ingredients, tools, and equipment
  • Daily snacks and water
  • A printed recipe book featuring all scratch-made recipes
  • A Cork & Knife chef jacket
  • An official camp graduation certificate
  • Patio breaks and fresh air throughout the day

**Lunch: Due to varying dietary preferences, campers must bring a packed lunch each day.

Phones & Devices

This is a no-phones, no-smartwatch camp. Devices will be collected at drop-off and returned at pick-up. We encourage campers to unplug and just be kids for the week.

The Grand Finale: A Friendly Cooking Competition 🎉

Parents invited!

On the final day of camp, we wrap up the week with a Chopped–inspired cooking competition — all in good fun. Campers will receive a mystery set of ingredients they’ve worked with throughout the week and create an appetizer, main, or dessert for a panel of local “celebrity” judges.

Judges may include local chefs, farmers, and food-loving community members.Prizes are awarded and families are invited to cheer on their chefs as they cook, plate, and present their creations — chef jackets and all.

Info on timing and details will be emailed out closer to the date.

Allergies & Dietary Needs

We can accommodate some food allergies and intolerances. Please contact us before registering if your child has allergies or dietary concerns so we can confirm suitability.

Additional Information

More detailed information (daily schedule, packing reminders, etc.) will be sent closer to the camp start date, along with our waiver to be signed.
