Sign Up for the Corinth Citizens Public Safety Academy!The Corinth Police Department and Lake Cities Fire Department invite you to be part of our upcoming Citizens Public Safety Academy, beginning March 24th and running through June 16th.
When: Every Tuesday evening
Time: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Where: Corinth Public Safety Complex
This academy is designed to open the lines of communication between our police and fire departments and the community we proudly serve. Our goal is to build a collaborative, partnership-based approach to public safety — because strong communities and effective public safety go hand in hand.
Participants will receive a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes look at how the Corinth Police Department operates and the critical role citizens play in crime prevention and community safety.

-Patrol Operations
-Building Searches/Traffic Stops
-DWI Investigations/SFST
-Criminal investigations
-Firearms
-Civilian Response to Active Shooters
-K9 and Drone

Instruction is provided by members of the Corinth Police Department along with outside partner agencies, and includes hands-on demonstrations and scenario-based learning to give you real-world insight and experience.
The CPSA also provides citizens with an inside look at the Lake Cities Fire Department, with hands-on experience in emergency operations. Academy highlights include classes about the type of rescue tools such as hydraulic cutters, spreaders and rams, air bags, and other special equipment that firefighters use in rescue situations. They discuss emergency management and fire prevention as well as conduct a live burn demonstration! Students will experience firefighter life inside a training building as they dress in bunker gear and walk through a training fire, the same building that firefighters use to perfect their firefighting techniques.
