CoreFlow uses a set sequence of mat and floor exercises from yoga, traditional strengthening, and modern dance to correct weakness and muscle imbalances from chronic sitting and sedentary life. The sequence focuses on shoulder, upper back, middle core, and hip strengthening with an emphasis on consistently engaging the deep core waist cincher muscles (transverse abdominis).
Students learn to move "from their core," learning core-to-extremity connection that improves functional movement and strength on and off the dance floor.
This class is appropriate for all levels.
** This class is not recommended for individuals with diastasis rectus abdominis.
