The Core Mountain Bike Riding Skills course is a Grade 3 program designed for riders regularly riding easy to intermediate level blue trails and are wanting to take their riding to the next level. This course will focus on students some of the core mountain bike riding skills and techniques required to handle more advanced features and obstacles while introducing riders to the concepts necessary to ride with flow.
During this course you’ll learn skills and techniques which include:
• Body balance techniques to enable low speed and technical manoeuvring.
• Cornering techniques to maximise cornering speed, stability, and flow through technical corners.
• Front, rear and two-wheel lift techniques.
• Negotiating Technical Features.
• Handling drops using lofting and popping techniques.
• Jumping (and landing) technique.

Times and dates for the sessions are:
• Session 1: 9:00am Saturday 16 November 2024
• Session 2: 9:00am Saturday 23 November 2024
• Session 3: 9:00am Saturday 30 November 2024
To be able to participate in this program you should be able to ride a mountain bike on green and easy blue trails for at least 10- 15km with a reasonable level of confidence. You'll also need the following:
• A serviceable mountain bike designed for off-road use;
• A helmet that meets Australian safety standards;
• Water;
• Nourishment
The price for this program is $185 and is limited to 6 participants.
