20. märtsi Corbijn Sessionsi fookuses on Depeche Mode – kultusbänd muusikamaailma südamest, aegumatu klassik tumemeelse popi ja ausa elektroonika piirimailt, melanhoolne ja võluvalt pingestav muusikajumal.
Vähemalt sama lege on ka bändi aastakümnete pikkune koostöö Anton Corbijniga – enam kui piisav põhjus, et Corbijni näituse raames pidada maha ka üks kõva Depeche Mode’i eripidu.

Üritus stardib vestlusringiga Depeche Mode’i ja Corbijni ühise loometee kujunemisest ja mõjust ning Corbijni panusest maailma visuaalkultuuri. Vestlust juhib plaadikaupluse World Clinic omanik Aivar Meos ning vestluses osalevad arhitekt Gert Sarv, Eesti Depeche Mode fännklubi liige Marek Väli, kunstnik Liis Roden ning disainer ja fotograaf Tarmo Talvik.
Sellele järgneb Depeche Mode’i pidu – õhtu kultusbändi tumedate maiuspalade seltsis, saateks Corbijni hämar-müstiline visuaalne universum. Plaate mängivad Gert Sarv ja Marek Väli.
Üritus toimub Anton Corbijni näitusesaalis Fotografiskas.

Depeche Mode party

On 20 March, the Corbijn Sessions turn their spotlight on Depeche Mode – a true cult band from the very heart of modern music. Timeless pioneers on the edge of dark pop and honest electronic sound, Depeche Mode have shaped generations with their melancholic, seductive, and tension-filled music.
Equally legendary is the band’s decades-long creative collaboration with Anton Corbijn – more than enough reason to celebrate with a dedicated Depeche Mode special party as part of the Corbijn exhibition.
The event kicks off with a panel discussion on the development and impact of Depeche Mode’s collaboration with Anton Corbijn, as well as Corbijn’s contribution to global visual culture. The discussion will be moderated by Aivar Meos, owner of the record store World Clinic, and will feature architect Gert Sarv, Estonian Depeche Mode fan club member Marek Väli, artist Liis Roden, and designer-photographer Tarmo Talvik. The panel will be held in Estonian.
After that, the night transforms into a Depeche Mode party – an immersive experience filled with the band’s darker sonic gems, set against Corbijn’s iconic, shadowy visual universe. Music will be played by Gert Sarv and Marek Väli.
The event takes place in the Anton Corbijn exhibition hall at Fotografiska.
