About this Event
Corals at your doorstep - Coral Watch Professional Development Workshop
Registrations are now open for a one-day, hands-on marine field training experience in Moreton Bay Marine Park focused on coral monitoring and reef conservation.
Delivered by CoralWatch (UQ) in partnership with See Moreton, the workshop combines expert presentations, in-water field activities and practical data exercises to strengthen coral monitoring and citizen science capabilities. Participants will learn about coral biology, reef conservation challenges and bleaching monitoring techniques, and will apply the CoralWatch Coral Health Chart while snorkelling at the iconic Tangalooma Wrecks. The training provides an opportunity to build practical coral monitoring skills, engage with marine researchers and contribute to collaborative knowledge about coral health in the Moreton Bay region.
Whether you are a researcher, student, teacher, consultant, or simply curious about the marine environment, this workshop offers valuable insights and practical skills. Join us for a unique day on the water exploring the remarkable coral ecosystems found right here in your backyard.
