While June 9th is the first date of the first class, it is also listed as the event date as a placeholder for the series.
You will not see an option to submit payment due to the variety of methods people may choose to pay for the course. You will receive an email after registration that will include information about payment to finalize your registration.
If we have less than 3 participants in a course session, we may ask those who registered to sign up for a different session.
Each course runs for 6 weeks. Multiple session options are available from June through July.

What You’ll Learn
You’ll gain skills in:
- Kitchen safety and emergency response
- Safe knife use and kitchen tools
- Food sanitation and cleanliness
- Cooking temperatures and food safety
- Meal planning and preparation
- Cooking full meals independently
This is a hands-on class– you will be cooking, not just watching!
Who Can Join
You may be eligible if you:
- Are age 16 or older
- Have an intellectual or developmental disability
- Are enrolled in CCS, CLTS, IRIS or Family Care
Private pay is also accepted if you meet disability criteria but are not enrolled in one of these programs.
Caregivers, parents, and guardians are welcome to attend at no extra cost to support learning and practice at home.
